The Mallard Point Halloween Costume Competition was held at the corner of Black Duck Drive and Widgeon Court on Oct 26th. There was a crowd of participants that filled eight hay wagons for the annual Trick or Treat hayride after the costume contest. Judges for the competation were Bruce and Midge Gordon and Welby Murray. Winners were: Orin Tallon, as Dracula, for the cutest costume; Olivia Spenser, as the Geico Money Man, for the most original; and Sue Ellen Smith, Abby Herald and Emily Harrison, as the Disco Divas, for Best Overall.
After the prizes were awarded the trick or treaters went up Widgeon to Drake and down Drake to Quandry where they boarded the eight hay wagons for a trip the end of Greenwing Court. There the kids were let off for begging on Greenwing, Merganser Shoveler and Sheldrake. The Hayride continued to Bluebill and Mallard Point Court before ending back at Blackduck and Widgeon.
