Lakes

Though three man-made lakes with a combined shoreline of approximately 10 miles serve as the focal point for Kentucky's largest residential community (by acreage: 1400 acres), Mallard Point Lake serves as its centerpiece. Mallard Point Lake yields just over 6.3 miles of shoreline, with its deepest point measuring 42 feet, and with an average mean depth of just over 20 feet. It's dam stretches over 1000 feet and impounds just over one-half a billion gallons of water dedicated solely to the recreational pursuits of its residents and property owners. Mallard Point Lake, along with its sister lakes, Widgeon and Drake, have been stocked and balanced by marine biologists to produce one of the most rewarding fishing enclaves in the state. Fisherman can anticipate catching largemouth and spotted bass (averaging three pounds), large crappie, large channel catfish, and bluegill. Other activities enjoyed by residents include swimming, canoeing, and small boating. These waters are restricted to the exclusive use of its residents, property owners, and their accompanied guests.

Parks & Wildlife

The open space and common areas of Mallard Point are plentiful and include a boat launch, lighted tennis courts, playground equipment, basketball court, and picnic areas. Mallard Point enjoys full city type services provided by both public utilities and private contractors.

As one walks or drives through our community, they are accompanied by a wide array of wildlife. Our whitetail deer population is estimated in the hundreds and are very much "at home" in our yards and parks. You'll awake to the sounds of geese in flight and witness fox, raccoons, and rabbits in great numbers. Though covenant controlled, our homes are not uniform in their designs, creating a unique ambiance of distinction. Homes are generally located on 1/2 acre to 3/4 acre wooded lots.

To live within the bounds of Mallard Point has most often been described as living within a state park. If you or your family are considering a community, consider the finest - Mallard Point.
